Mr. Sadiqur Rahman, MA(English), Fulbright Scholar & Gold Medallist
Sadiq is a Fulbright Scholar with three years of teaching experience in English,Business Communications and PDP. Sadiq graduated from Calcutta University and completed his Masters in Enghish from Jamia Millia Islamia.He was awarded the Gold Medal as the University Topper of Jamia Millia Islamia.As a Fulbright scholar Sadiq has taught for two semesters at the University of Texas,Austin.As a published poet Sadiq has two books to his credit -The Dreamseller(2004,Bani Prakash) and A Quatrain of Misunderstood Poets(2009,Delhipoetree).Sadiq's area of interest is " Films and Fiction". He has presented papers on Satyajit Ray's Interpretation of Tagore and Premchand (Word to Image) in UGC sponsored National Seminar on Fiction to Films.Sadiq is a short film maker.Three of his short films have been screened in various International Film festivals.His films include Animan(2008),Ride to Remember(2008) and Lost and Found(2009). He hosted his Talk show "Nostalgic with Sadiq..." on KVRX 91.7 FM,Austin.Sadiq is a member of the National Selection Committee for Fulbright India.
